The Possessed

12/13/2024
For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

Malachi 4:1-3

Might well you have heard of the day of the Lord once as well as by any though perhaps not yet alone. That is to say that the day of the Lord is coming whether you like it or not for he has appointed a time in which to judge the wicked, to bring end to iniquity that the righteous in heart may fear him that has done so on the earth. Is not our God though the most righteous whether in mercy or in judgement for we all know how that mercy triumphs over judgement there at the last. Perchance it seems to you our God has gotten things a bit backwards of course. According to you, he's not doing them half as well as he ought to from now as the priests once found out which were serving the Lord. Only thing was their service went empty and unheeded because they served with all the wrong sort of motives. Just think if you will of coming to God without believing that he is foremost of all, having so come for the blessings instead. It's unthinkable really that any would do such a thing, yet have some to their hurt. Then as the Lord dealt with his people, judgement first began in his house just as he said so often would happen. It shouldn't come as a surprise to any then that he's the One who's been keeping his Word, his promises, and so has turned up. Some of us, I get the feeling, like the promises of God when they're "yea and in him amen" of 2 Corinthians 1:20 a little too well. Should something happen though that's not in line with their plan, well they're right back where they started from asking our God to move from out of his way just for them. Tell me then why should he when he regards not any of the armies of man being no "respector of persons" in Acts 10:34 unlike us who both disrespect them and respect them at will. Then again some go inspecting their works as though they weren't just a bunch of rotted fruits of the vine like God had need of some other help I suppose. In times like these though, it's nice to know he's got them all covered up to and including the day of the Lord. For the days then it speaks of a return to the Lord else would it not be called his then at all. So often some are in the notion of thinking that time's all theirs, he's not supposed to come expecting something back in return. You'd call them the product of the wicked or so on from there and the works produced by these are all just like them. Though perhaps the issue's not just the works but rather that burned smell coming forth from the center. Truly then if 'the attitude's like the aroma of the heart' as some have once said these will be stinking to high Heaven and back again until the kingdom is come. Unless the Lord does a major life's work in them or perhaps one of some all-heart corrections, these too find themselves standing in need of some prayer. It's more than just need though but rather of one being found as the works of his hands. It seems these have need of an oven indeed either for the warming which soon will occur or else for the soon coming day of the Lord. Might well some of us have enjoyed having a warming yet when it comes to matters of judgement you can rest assured that our God's most certainly just more sure in all that occurs. It seems he speaks of the burning much as these did for the righteous which soon would occur. Though unlike that of the righteous, soon neither root or branch would be left to these for very much either almost as those that had once been given ought of the Lord. It seems then when that when he's the good Shepherd, the Bishop, and the keeper of all of our souls, it's good too to have some other vinedresser of sorts. Such was the problem then with those that had left off of the keeping, even having forgotten life back at the Father's as well. It's not for nothing they've called him the vine then with the removal being seen as one from out of his place. Then too is the the Lord to be seen as our Sun, as either one who rules in the sky or one who looks down over all and so righteously does. Though he's hardly the sun with the power to scorch men that once had appeared but rather there's some healing within that of these strange other skies once taken over from jealousy and hatred are now being seen as unto the Lord. It's very much a righteousness then if you will where the healing comes from the very same source though much later. Then is there comfort in it as the growing up too has come forth from the Lord. It's not often he does it like this, but it seems he's our best nurturer and growth expert that ever there was for a very good reason cause can't nobody do it quite like our God. Perhaps you might see the wicked as being tossed out and forgotten at the hands of the Lord but in all this there's the God that remembers his people. How good is then the feet of those who spread glad tidings among all the people who say to them that it's our God then who reigns. Soon too you'll see what the Lord has brought forth as appearing in all of his judgment from out of the matter which follows. Perhaps it's one though we've already had, the Lord only knows.
