The Dreaming

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.
Malachi 3:10-12

Perhaps you might have heard before of the open house of the Lord. You know how some people do right when they’re moving. They’ll get the house empty then stage It up all nice and pretty and stuff. Then they invite some other people to come on and enter say with a sort of big party that’s all meant for the show. When really, the main purposes here are to get the house sold. Sure, God is not in the business of doing us that way I suppose. He’s not just some negligent father who sends the souls back down as they go. Nor is he ever interested in the huge eternal cycle of death and rebirth. Remember the tithes in the storehouse as we saw once before represented the will of God to the people. Though it meant far more than that. Rather it was a doing if you will that wasn’t just for show. Then too there’s food on the table, it being set with even the feast of the Lord. He sure provides it all by himself, whether healing or life or whatever is needed for as I said once before he is God all by himself is he not. So then he needs not your approval hardly to enter. It’s a scene then of your own making whether or not but still our Father will hardly leave you comfortless down here all below. In the test and the trial then, it has become one of the Lord. A lot of people hear that though and find themselves involved in a lot of other strange thinking. For the Lord hardly needs come with no proof as some had once known. Just think of those that once wandered in the desert under Moses after having seen the proof of the Lord. He hardly needs come with much more announcement than this. But yet he does such for so he is God. My, it’s an open house indeed all up in here with some windows, all fine, and fancy, and decked out here and stuff. In order to see all that, we must first come across our own stinking thinking. Imagine here seeing ought of the Lord. It’s the scene of the Father’s house here alright, yet instead of just opening the doors to let you on in, he’s got the windows open and instead is in the business of tossing out blessings. Think of it a little bit sort of like this. Once there was a porch which out beside the waters it lay. In their own due little season, an angel occurred whenever it would. My, all the time the Lord has in a century, you’d almost think he could send the angels and blessings just a little bit faster, couldn’t it? I mean, it’s not like we’re all just sitting around in the porch of the Lord waiting for him to come on and do his own mighty thing. Not to sound irreverant to you but some of us quite literally do. Rather, seeking the Father involves a much more personal sort of response. It is one of having thrown Heaven’s gates quite open wide. I don’t want to say he stands ready to welcome all back inside, but rather, he’s got an awful lot of saying to do. Have you ever heard how grown folks do to those who have done them some wrong? By that I don’t mean, get all mad and smite them and stuff regardless of the own unrighteous behavior. Sure, it might be entirely justified in times such as these. Regardless though, he has two things to say. The destroyer gets it for having troubled his people so as at first. The second word of life goes over the situation. Then finally, he turns and addresses his people. You know, the ones who had turned from serving him for their own profit and other false little gods. Whether those of nothing, or idols, or that of themselves, still these did and our God is entirely right in his assessment of such. The only matter is that God in his holiness so also is just. This implies mercy and kindness with him seen to be sure. So too it seems the destroyer also has done them some wrong. Perhaps it is one of the few of the reapers concerned with the breath of the Lord. Either way, it still has made a good start on destroying whatever’s left of the fold. The fruitful years also were eaten along with the wine and the ripening of all things yet to come. In this thing here then is what’s called blessed of the Lord. You know really, it’s not about whatever you see but rather what God our Maker has called it to be. It would be far better to trust him then and so to remain a delight. He works all things out for our good and his glory, so I’ve been told. For he’s got his whole house and all of the fold.
