Master, Conducter

Disturbance of Conduct Expression

In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

I don't know about you, but it's a mighty strange thing we're seeing right here. John the Baptist belongs all the way over in his relative gospel not all the way in another section the next. I mean, come on now, how disordered can you get very much rather. John for sure isn't doing anything decently or in order and by far, he's running amok all over the place like he owns it, all over the book. I mean, there's just no accounting for it really aside from that to say he's made an appearance a few other places besides just to testify to himself very much rather. That is just the sort of thing of which Jesus was speaking in John that great signs and much wonders have need of being testified to by more than just one or two. In fact, it was done just as Mosaic law had commanded of old that in the mouth or two or three witnesses every word might be established again. Then too, just as Jesus had taught of the Lord that he must needs come and bring a great sword. That sword is almost as his Word piercing the joints and marrow and dividing apart the thoughts and intents of the heart. John though has very much anything other than his best interest at heart. Indeed, he came preaching to someone else that much great, to one that spoke of the Lord. It was no surprise really for that's what he was truly. Just as the Lord which came after had said, John was sent not to do his own will but that of the sender, the Master, the eternal, the rewriting of stories and of hearts and of lives and all who would listen in once again. John the Baptist was so called due to his penchant for dunking people in the nearest body of water he could find as though a glorified bath was that much in order and would do much towards a saving the soul. Though it's hard to expect much from someone ordering everyone to repent and testifiying the kingdom when he his own self is running around through the land. It's a disorder in conduct expression for sure because just as the demons driven away from all men by their own selves time and again, John also frequented wildernesses rather though for one singular purpose to tell that couldn't have been that much of him. Here he goes again now, talking to dust with not a soul being in sight, not even the Lord to report. For from dust were we taken and to dust would we finally end up albeit as Genesis says living with the breath of life in our lungs and robed with the lamb.

Disturbance of Appearances Rather

4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,

6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

You hadn't to look far beyond John's appearance, such a strange sight does he make from the first. God's call is disruptive it seems. John got dressed quite possibly in the closest thing he could find with the providing of God in the bargain. I don't know if you've ever seen a clothing made out of the skin of the camel but it's quite expensive really at least in this day, much as an Armani suit then would say. The leather girdle too would've spoken of some influence to have had at the time though his diet was about as poor as it could consisting of whatever he found in that day. Thus, it's not too far a stretch to imagine that God had arranged for his prophet, his messenger, his servant, whatever he would call this untowardly of being some roadkill for his dressing and also provision. John's diet though was with sense for his long and frequent exposure to water and streams as one who's perhaps just not used to the cold. Though with whatever he ate, the Lord sure provided for these in abundance. I mean, it's kind of hard not to glorify the messenger what with all he'd been sent in the bargain with the provision of God upon him such that it was. The text tells of all the people around just drawn to his teaching when you've gotten whole cities and regions laying bare for the taking. Consider the faith of the servant to have seen nothing but the whole singular purpose of his Master in general. Then again, what humility to have displayed as all men came and they gave unto God or their tithes and their lives. You'd almost had to have some sort of humility or somewhat to say in the matter to make sure the excellence of the power was of God and not just as it were of the wiles of the prophet. Indeed, as Jesus had this to say about them later that the wolves in sheeps clothing would someday be coming. Though when there's a sender and one coming after, it behooves him most highly to ensure his conduct much rather. Then again came the hallmarks that the message, the Lord's. These all came to be baptized, whatever that meant, willingly and not so as by force and as the Father had drawn them so were they responding to the Governor inside them in general.

Disturbance Internal

7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

They would've had to almost for all the sins to be confessed of now and again. Though as some religions would have it, these are the hallmarks of a weekly service called confessional where the man must be praised and worshiped instead of the Lord. What nonsense is this, to have lighted on everything except the Lord in particular. Might as well have gotten the wise men too for that matter, but oh wait, they're almost as witnesses too are they not though of time and the weather. Oh, but the Pharisees and Sadducees are something unique are they not as the keepers of what's hereby contained in the law. Moses' law they'd call it and just a sorry excuse back into bondage from there for the Lord had never designed then to happen. Indeed, with their endless rules and regulations meant for keeping the Sabbath and the observance of days that they forgot about him the most important of all. It's a strange thing really to find them at such a time and place as this once again. These had no business being drawn to a baptism though of the body yet in proper for without the Lord I'm afraid there was never very much hope of affecting the whole. You know, it's almost like going to church time and again to worship the Lord only to come back home and find out that nothing's really changed once again. Self righteousness in and of itself never really does that much for affecting the soul, not when from God it came and to him must return once again. Then too, the spirit with it's many in struggles was never meant for the containing of rules and regulations very much rather than just a merely knowing of the heart of the Father. One in particular stands out once again, as the cup and platter was left undone and the dead graves were beginning to stink with nothing but a tithe that's been brought to the Lord. Back to John's question, someone must have warned them though surely for more than likely having been sent it was something that John more than probably knew. Banking on the eternality of God's person, his holy, and judgement means just that no unrighteousness can hope to enter in as into the big picture question where eternity has come view time and again. To the humblest of the people then and them of the least who had hereby come before a figure but not unto man much rather but that of the throne up above. Perhaps God the Son had not been fully formed in them within. Still though, is he not the one who draws very much rather no matter what time or place that is currently occurring. To them such as these has the Father come time and again to merely give his life a life sacrifice and to walk among men that all might be reunited there with the Father again. To the self-righteous and those who needed not ought of the Savior there remained eternity waiting and nothing as surely as that very much rather for that of the future required then the judgement. Some have possibly wondered how a good God could do such to his children. Though it is love is it not when the salvation of man required Heaven's perfect price. It's love is it not when the redeemed are the fallen of men. It is love is it not when it's been allowed then to happen. It is love is it not that protects all of his people from the bad things that happened through eternity rather. It is love is it not that requires that judgement then happen. It is love is it not with somewhat of his holiness come in once again. Their survival then and that of their nation depended on their faith and hope and trust placed back in the Lord despite whoever was currently ruling, whether Herod, his son, or just that of themselves.

Disturbance that Matters

10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

That way when, and by no means am I saying the Lord is an axmen of men, but it's still just a principle that the vine and the branches with the fig tree at times which stood in for the people should hereby come into question much rather. It sure looks like the Governor has proceeded internal again for while John most certainly was not born of the Spirit and washed in the blood, the Lord above all was that much for sure. The earthly ministry then did naught but point men on back unto him. John wasn't in need of saving time and agAin only to tell all to flee from the wrath still to come. It's something that most gospel preachers on the whole are prone to get hooked up on is the matters of judgement. It's the one thing that they without God and his mercy have no untowardsly hope of controlling so that's why it's one of the scariest things unto men. Though for those that would know him time and again, there's hope to continue on until the very same end and so in death it would come that the soon coming the Lord is not just some huge and horrible chore. Baptism with water then as the text says doesn't do much good in the end. Though it's hardly no replacement for just a knowing the Lord which lets you stand before him now and again both in eternity and in the uttermost end. There's nothing left then that's replacing just between you and the Lord. The two fold mission and purpose of the Spirit is just to usher all men back into glory and so to be their very best Friend, their guidance, comforter, and counselor from now until eternity rather. Though there's no better way of putting it up so nice and neatly save only to say that I'm afraid it's a place best reserved for the Lord. It's him who walked among the churches in Revelation and oversaw the hearts and lives of all men. So then it remains that the test and the trial wasn't meant to destroy you at all in the end. Just an attempt to fit you for Heaven and make you to stand before him as you really ought to have been. Consider if the fall wasn't even an issue at all nor was man's rebellion and taking the place of what ought to have been meant for the Lord. There would've been confidence that still remained in the matter at hand.

Disturbance most Visible

13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Just as Adam and Eve had once walked with the Lord, it seems John is no longer running before the Savior now that he's come into the matter as one also who needs not any of ought we could bring. Jesus for sure didn't need an outwardly saving or an inward confession at all in the matter. Him being God and the perfect in sinless Lamb that was slain, before the foundation of the world, as the Scripture would put it time and again. When it came on down to it really and truly, the Lord knew the end from the beginning already and what would have from what ever has been. So often we as humans much rather either don't understand or chose not to what with all our privacy speaking and disorders in conduct expression. John here is very much strincly speaking reporting back to his superior, his sending instructor there in the text as one who is also much in need of the Lord. Without him, then you can do nothing and as it seems neither could John in the bargain. It sure is nice isn't it, all the things beocming a preacher yet when there's rightoueness ant stake and in all matters the kingdom, it would behoove us all to suffer him rather as the inward and outward, the Conductor of men. In fact, John hardly had need of making a huge anouncement in general. The Lord's presence just took care of that in the end. It's much like the signs and wonders which John speaks of that many had searched for only to find themselves disappointed and missing as something that was lacked would so have been. It seems that fulfillment of God and his Word along with his mission was the only thing found worthy of meeting up with his person. The baptism in that he was the sinless Lamb of God allowed so hto happen and John in that he stood in an office that was perhaps not quite recognized as of just yet, that of the baptizer of men. Jesus Spirit though left room for none else but himself in the matter. He'd come down in bodily form, almost as a Spirit creature would, with the dove being symolized for it's meek and mild nature with the most harmless of those. Though as Isaiah said both the lion can lay down with the lamb as well as the little child walking on in between only because he's telling the book and rewriting our story. Then too he appears as one that's been working and so as up till now has gone unrecognized and largely unseen. Though it shouldn't have been a surprise to any at this point in particular seeing as how the conseinces of the people had already been stirred up towards the remission of sins. Though without the shedding of blood there's no hope towards it except for a faith and trust in our Friend. He's the very best of all isn't he, now having come through time and again. By faith then these would have to be baptized and in patience so as to endure to the end. Though with Christ, he'd already won the battle, the glory, and with that sins debt had forever been paid to the future. At a time such as this you'd probably have been better off wondering could this salvation be applied to the future rather than if all things were lawful as someone who'd often times just as soon fall back into sin. The pleasure though would've been Christ Jesus the Lord's, for he's not disjointed of himself as are some of us that haven't a hope in him then.
