Endurement of Promise

04/22/2025
And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
Hebrews 6:15-17

Herein is seen the patient endurance promised to God and his saints that he had foreordained before the foundation of the world that we should walk in them. See, when such things are being said of the Lord, it’s important to double check the source otherwise you are liable to end up with a ‘what are you doing that for.’ So it seems that in all of this there is a patient endurance promised of God to his saints. At times it is hard for us to believe and harder still to see what in all our God has in store for all down below. Now there have come some trying times indeed that calls for patient endurance on the part of all of God’s people. For they do in patience wait for that to be revealed, even that of the Lord in the end. So does the earth too possess itself in patience waiting for the coming day of the Lord. It is a surety more sure and certain than the coming of the dawn in the blackest, dead of night. Much as that old song would have said in fairy tales long ago or whispered of in days gone by of old ‘certain as the sun, rises in the east,’ it speaks of the drinking in of the rain that falls to the earth and also the passage in due time of its seasons. Notice it is not just a fairy tale told of as impossibility or of someday most surely. Instead, though it harkens back to the days gone by of old when God had met with Abraham there in particular as promised to him and to that his own exceeding great reward. It is a purpose far greater indeed than any known just yet to all men for the surety is of our Father in Heaven. So too is there still not peace for some of us to be found then on hand without God in our midst just as he planned. In fact, it calls for patient endurance on the part of his saints. There is promised though the soon coming of God for his children. So is it more than an oath but rather the surety of what has been promised with him. See, without the oath in particular it becomes much more of situation of what has been promised the prophets, anxiously awaited and seen from a distance though long since forgot. Is it not at a time such as this that our God has come into the world to save men from sin and themselves in the end. Though still there remains a greater evil even than that of themselves in particular, a being tempted by Satan, drawn away of their own lusts, and enticed therefore in. Thus, to some there has come the temptation of calling God void at his Word as though he’s not the patientest Father that ever has been. So then to them has he come that by surety they might receive of his Son. But at times it seems a mighty strange thing to them that have not understood it so far. Yet there remains the promise of God that is yet to be seen. Herein does Abraham come forth once again as out of his chambers these have not been. Abraham it is seen is not as the Lord which came forth once unto men. Still though you might have said there remains the matters of judgement, our Lord and our Master, our Savior, and Friend. Still too are his ways past finding out once again being beyond us for even then. Remember how too that he had caused a deep sleep to fall upon Abraham as there between the altars of God. Sure, it was just a place where Abraham had built to offer the Lord. Still, though that is all is it not, that of our own bodies and souls. Is he not the most patientest and enduringest God that we know. For therein is our faith made perfect in love not that of a man giving his life for his friend nor even for a righteous man for which some would have died in the end. But rather there remains the immutability of God giving the life of his Son. Nor is it just as some would have done crucifying him afresh week after week and putting him to an open shame. In fact, it is his patient endurance and not of ourselves there in full. Might well you wonder then for what he was promised if not of ourselves. So then it is seen that there is patient endurance waiting as that of the Father in the road on his children’s return. Nor is he just the negligent father that some of us had seen and also would know but for an oath he’s there all himself. Is it not that of the same whereby he receives our hearts and our lives to whom we also pay tithes seeing who lives in the midst. For is it not just as he said seeing above all who lives. So too then is there made peace through the blood of his cross, reconciling Heaven and earth through the breath of his Son. Is it not that breath that measures the strength of a life in the end and so too one that is well lived for his Son. Though it is just by our Redeemer just as Job once had said who will stand in the latter day on the earth that though worms destroyed the body and offering still he would give it on back to the Son as worthy of whatever he ever could bring. At such a time as this then is there peace made through the blood of his Son as Paul would have said in the Hebrews and an end to all strife. Then at the last is the oath as un-understandable really as the life of his Son. For has not he been slain since time began there in particular which meant some foresight and planning had to go into this matter. Nor do you have to look far to consider that is something the angels also would like to look into. So then it remains that through the blood of his Son has he made peace in the house and reconciled us to God in his sight with the only question becoming of whether God would have welcomed us back home in the end. Then too remember that our God when he could swear by none greater just swore by himself just when Abraham was counted as dead but endured seeing him who yet is visible that above all and in all and through all things he might have preeimenence being the firstborne of many brethren thereby bringing the whole world on back to his Son and so from there back home once again.
