Directionless as of When

03/10/2025

It appears the time has come again where Lot and Abram this time must choose which direction they'll go in having run on through the land and from there on back again. I mean, if it sounds like an adventure to you, but you'll see more on that in a few. This Lot though is trying his hardest to stir up something even that's worse probably than every adventurer ever. Quite possibly it wasn't his fault from the start, only that he'd stumbled into something that was more than met the eye. So it came to be as the text describes it of the parting of the ways. It's like a crossroads so to speak with Lot and Abram standing out surveying all the land.

Is not the whole land before thee?

Separate thyself I pray thee from me:

If you wilt take the left hand

Then I will go to the right;

Or if thou depart to the right hand,

Then I will go to the left.

I mean, can you even tell Lot and Abraham apart at all? Surely at this point, they've become codependent even, much as Terah did in Haran without ever making it to home to there now once again.

And Lot lifted up his eyes and behold all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.

I mean, if that was you then what would you choose?

Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan

And Lot journeyed

East

And they separated

Themselves the one

From the other.

Abram dwelled

In the land of Canaan

And Lot dwelled

In the cities of the plain

And pitched his tent

Toward Sodom.

But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.

And the Lord said unto Abram after that Lot was separated from him,

Lift up now thine eyes

And look from the place where you are northward

And southward

And Eastward

And westward

For all the land which thou seest to thee will I give it and to thy seed for ever.

And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth:

So that if a man can number the dust of the earth,

Then shall thy seed also be numbered.

Arise,

Walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it

For I will give it unto thee.

Then Abram removed his tent

And came

And dwelt in the plain of Mamre

Which is in Hebron

And built there an altar unto the Lord.

Yeah and so but what do you think? Can you tell where everything is yet or are you not able to as of just yet? Paying close attention to the words should help you for sure. It almost forms a picture doesn't it, with a whole lot of meaning.
