Origin
- Gotten from the bark of the cinnamon tree
- Native to Arabia regions and other designations due to resident migration
- Traditionally only the bark is useful in medicine
Preparation
- Known to have antioxidant and antiflammatory uses, digestion, pain and nausea relief, cold and congestion relief, prevents growth of new cancer, with other improvements in function
- Other benefits include cardioprotection by reducing heart disease risk and lowering blood pressure easing relative stress on the vessels
- Caution should be used in liver disease
- May be taken internally and safe dosage limits apply
- Can be ground into powder or used then through heat application in the production of pills although it also can be applied to the food
