As Commanded
Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Genesis 12:1-3
I don't know about you but here we see Abram just being very obedient still to the Lord. Besides that, he not only ruled over but also conquered as well. It's a perspective of going beyond what Adam had done isn't it in that he didn't deviate to the right hand nor to the left of commandment. However, when it came to the sin, the choices he'd made would put him there then. It's not like though sitting there commissioning someone else to go on with the building as Adam did unto Eve his wife there once again. It seems that Abram though isn't at all like Adam as at first having learnt his lesson well then I guess. Either that or else he'd known better than the rest still yet again when it came to obeying the voice of the Lord it's better still just to listen to him. Though when the Lord told Abram as in Naphtalim with the powers of the reapers behind that he'd better get himself going, it appears that Abram went yet again though perhaps he didn't know where as or when. In fact, the power of the reapers was to call out all who were visible. These then didn't know much of the lay of the land but one thing they did and that was to whom they were going.
4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.
5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.
Genesis 12:4-5
At this point, Abram is going beyond in showing others the ways of the Lord. Perhaps it's just an initiation of what he didn't know at this point in time truly then really. The text though says he packed up his brother and his flocks and his herds, or it would've had these been the most important things at this point in time found on the journey. In fact, the fathers house though not yet of the Lord went against all things that Abram had known in general up till this point in time. Though the souls are what makes this text so special, that and the fact that it appears Abram might've packed up a village. Sure it's not exactly leaving these things behind them as of just yet but then again the Lord didn't exactly specify whom he could take. Obviously the kindred shouldn't have been visible though it seems to Christ they were very much so. Then again, it seems that Abram's packing up his brethren and all of his friends really shouldn't have been sin though it was God's place to do so then and again. Especially it follows as his place when these will come to him then at the end whether in death or merely a blessing just as had been promised the Lord. Then too them taking the stuff with them would've sustained life also I guess.
Hereby Added Again
At this point, Lot kind of just goes along with the plan. It shows above all things a kingdom mindset in general, one that very much has an abundance of planning along with the foresight and also quite possibly some vision as well. At the very least, he's not cantankerous or just an obstacle of course in the matter. He's actively helping and engaged also in all parts of the being, at least where the sustaining of life and all the provisions therewith would've been fixed quite successfully too I might add as after it follows just a command from the Lord. In fact, I'd make note of one particular factor and that is that Abram seems to have got younger Of course or just merely stayed a nice static and still 75 on the issue. Abram's father Terah on the other hand was much a different matter. The text didn't say exactly where the story began but we all know he was about 205 when he died. Lot on the other hand, regardless of the number of years he's lived then in general, isn't doing anything more than perhaps just being a person. Though without his inclusion, I'm sure you wouldn't have thought anything was amiss on the matter.
